PROJECT: Panel guest on ABC television Q&A program which was broadcast live from Werribee Community Centre on Tuesday 23rd June 2022.

EVENT: This edition of Q&A focussed on the cost of living crisis visiting and presenting live from the community of Werribee – a suburb of Melbourne’s western fringe in one of Australia’s fastest growing regions. Right across Australia, households are grappling with the soaring price of life’s essentials as the nation’s economic woes appear to be mounting.

Discussions included the big changes ahead for early education and what does the recent minimum wage rise mean for workers and small business owners. Both are facing mounting rising cost of living pressures. Alexi Boyd representing the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA) discussed the impact of the minimum wage increases on small businesses who are already under pressure with mounting costs and dwindling customers especially in areas like Werribee.
